About two months ago, I read a book that has basically changed our lives. You'd think it would have been something earth-shattering with deep, hidden messages, like The Alchemist, or even The Bible. But no, I go for more of a good-time read in the late hours of the night, and read Queen of the Road, by Doreen Orion. If you are looking for a light read that will make you laugh your socks off, this may be it. In my case, it made me laugh, but then it made me think: What were we doing with our lives that was so all-important up here in Wasilla, Alaska? Were we getting ahead financially, spiritually, romantically? Um, BIG NO a little maybe, and no. We needed a new adventure . . .
Our last adventure had gotten us UP here to Alaska nine years ago. Who knew where this one would lead!
